This is the story of Charlie Brown. He
is a salt and pepper miniature Schnauzer with cropped ears and a docked
tail. His old owners had dropped him off at the abuse shelter because
they no longer wanted him.
Poor Charlie was covered with fleas and his coat was mangy. He was very
thin and obviously not well taken care of. I immediately called my
veterinarian and groomer and set up emergency visits. Good 'ol Charlie
Brown was in bad shape. Needless to say after a few good meals and lots
of baths, Charlie started looking mighty handsome. His older sister
Lucy, a rescued miniature Schnauzer also, fell head over heals in love.
And Charlie felt the same for Lucy. In fact, they became inseparable.
Today Charlie Brown shares his home with three other Schnauzer girls and
a cat that thinks she is a Schnauzer. |
